I'm looking for a good MMO that I can play here in Korea with English text and play with my girlfriend who is in Canada. Most of the ones I have tried all come up with a big fat no like World of Warcraft, Perfect World etc. There must be some games that we can play together. Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

Next to WoW, Rift is the 2nd biggest subscription MMO right now.
Also, why can't you play WoW with her? I played WoW for 4 years from here on the North American servers. Setting up an NA account can be a pain from here but she could always do that for you from Canada.
Or you could avoid account set up headaches and just play Rift. It's basically WoW with better graphics. And there is no IP related restrictions for account setup. |

I've played my american wow account here on and off for the past 5 years, no problems ever. You could also wait two months and see how star wars is... |

Ive played wow here but its a hassle, they ban any trial account you make, and they make me change my password a lot, sometimes several times a day. Also payment can be an issue if you try to pay with a card from back home.
I play EVE online now, its a global game, so very few problems associated with most mmos. free trial for 2-3 weeks too. |

Hubby recommends Rift. He wanted me to get an account, but I'm not into computer games any more. Don't know why some people have problems with WoW here, we both played on American servers while living in Korea. We paid via services back home. |

Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming out in December, one of the most anticipated MMOs in since WoW. I just hope it live up to expectations... |

I tried to pre-order it and they said it wasn;t going to be availible in my region. Has anyone else experienced that? |

I ordered it back in the UK, but got a second copy using my VPN server. Seems Korea isn't one of the launch countries. |
