|
|
Got dragged into school on a Saturday to babysit for a half hour to an hour. They want me to do something Halloween-related.
My kids will be either 5-7 years old. Mostly good kids. School's very chill... I just need ANYTHING to occupy them for an hour while their students are in a meeting.
Cartoons or short movies with subtitles work fine. They are even encouraged.
Thanks for any help. |

Too bad you can't show them Paranormal Activity. Hardly any talking.
I'm joking.

Halloween is a hard one to "teach". It's not like Christmas where you have songs and stories/legends of animals with red noses or greedy people like Grinch and Scrooge.
You could outline a pumpkin on orange paper (about 1/4 of the page, so 4 per page), and then together have them cut it out and add a face. If you really want to get creative, instead of outlining, you cut paper in half (this time 2 pumpkins per page. Have them draw on one half, then you can wrap the strip around to make a more 3 dimensional shape of a pumpkin.
To make it look round, before wrapping it around, cut slits up and down (I guess across could work too), then wrap it around. You can add a bottom, or cone it. Bring some candy and they can practice trick or treating. |
