Just wondering what other people are planning for Halloween? It's on Monday this year, so I don't think many people are going to go out and party on a Monday.

What will the weekend scene be like? I don't want to be the only goober out in a costume on Friday or Saturday. I know Itaewon will be off the chain, but what about Hongdae?

Hongdae is usually pretty good on Halloween.

I have a tradition of being attacked by a foreigner there almost every year. Last year it was an Australian dressed as Pikachu.

This event is probably the best thing I've seen.

^^ yes.

Before that though, I'll be at Club After in Itaewon for Seoul Players' screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, complete with live cast onstage and (we hope) audience participation. We're on from 9-11 (I'm playing Riff!) and plan to make the rounds to Hongdae and HBC parties later in the night.

Nothing. I can't stand Halloween and am happy to be in a country where it doesn't mean anything more than temporary decorations on coffee cups. Yes, you can call me Debbie Downer.

Debbie Downer.

Yeah, Hongdae and Itaewon are great areas to celebrate. There are also big parties at the Banyan Tree and the W, along with a couple of river boat cruises that seem like they could be awesome.

I have gone to club FF in Hongdae a couple of times on Halloween. They might not do it anymore, but they had free drinks from I think 9 until 11. If anything, it was worth it to see some of the hilarious costumes people came up with. The best-a guy dressed as a jogging ajuma.
