Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier: if you're coming from outside of the country, a camp will have you work far too much to actually get a feel for the country, while the pay is low enough that you'll probably break even at best. I met a girl who was doing it to pay for her plane ticket to Asia prior to embarking on a backpacking trip through Southeast Asia, which made sense, but the few people I've talked to who flew from their home countries to work camps have generally ended up in the red after having been worked to the bone for a month. |
