I can go for either drip or steam extraction. I prefer drip even though steam extraction is superior, because it has a home like taste to it.

Am I tired or did a few people above suggest that drip coffee tastes better than espresso?

No, I must be tired, it's the brain fog, surely.

And I also thought I saw someone wondering why drip coffee costs more than espresso in korea - when it obviously doesn't.

Ah, bad brain fog, bad.

I said that drip coffee is far superior to an Americano.

Espresso v drip would be debatable depending on what kind of mood I am in :p

Americano is firmly entrenched in Thailand. Both Starbucks and Coffee World use it, in fact all the chains use the term.

Yep, I know what you mean. Been there done that. They look at you strange. I did that in a small town and told them we like cream and sugar in our coffee. They said we are in Korea. Apparently, those d!cks don't know what a customer is. Really stupid and illogical approach to customer service sometimes. I'm only going to say this once: "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!" Maybe someday that'll catch on over here.
