Have you been watching? The won has strengthened almost 40 won in just a few days. I have to send home some money, and decided to wait until Monday. Maybe I should have sent money today? |

Europe delayed the inevitable failure of the euro and the US reported an astonishing 2.5% GDP.
This prompted a flight to riskier assets like the Won and away from US treasuries. It looks like the Won might rise a bit now that its OK to pursue riskier assets like equities. Looks like even gold has taken a slight hit. |

I sent money home Friday after seeing the good news about Europe and the U.S. economy. I got 1111 to the dollar. |

The first month I was here. The USD appreciated by about 10% against the Won. Now in my second month here, there has been almost a complete reversal. I like a weak dollar, because it means I can send more USD back home. |
