Hi there, has anyone ordered a George Foreman grill from G-Market or another Korean website? Like this one, for example:

http://item.gmarket.co.kr/DetailView/Item.asp?goodscode=215580202&GoodsSale=Y&jaehuid=200002673

Since it seems that they ship from the states, I'm mainly wondering if the grill would be 220v-compatible and whether there are any additional charges in terms of customs/delivery/etc.

Alternatively, is there a place that sells GF grills offline? [/url]

I've never bought one but I found these two:

http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=193820105&pos_shop_cd=EN&pos_class_cd=90000001&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=%C1%B6%C1%F6%C6%F7%B8%D5

http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=182059411&pos_shop_cd=EN&pos_class_cd=90000001&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=%C1%B6%C1%F6%C6%F7%B8%D5

They don't seem like they are shipped from the States and you can see that the plug in the second listing is the type we use here.

Check your local emart/ homeplus for the Jackie Chan Grill, it has a pic of Jackie Chan with George Foreman together on the box. Same grill, different marketing celebrity.

Not around lately. Popular a few years ago - I was able to snag one from Yongsan but it was a find and the last one at the shop.

They have a website but it is old.

http://www.georgeforeman.co.kr/

But I have seen a chinese rip of version in a store or two. But you really have to look.

If you get one, make sure you don't grill steak on it.The steak is usually very dry and not juicy at all.The Foreman is good for sausage, burgers, chicken and some veggies only from my experience.

You can do eggs on one, too; you just have to prop the front feet up slightly. Hot plates are pretty handy for apartments without real stoves.

I'm in the Incheon area. Would E-mart be my best bet?

So I checked yesterday and neither Kim's Club nor the huge HomePlus in my area carry anything remotely similar to a GF grill.

I'm gonna give GMarket a go tomorrow, fingers crossed.

I just checked gmarket and typed "george foreman grill" in English into the search and it came up with several options. You should be able to find one that suits your needs.

By the way, if you import from America, you need the special transformer. The cheapo converter plug destroyed mine within a month...damn shame cause it made some good samgypsal...although it came out like bacon sometimes.
