Who are the best broadband internet providers in Korea? Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Even the worst of them kick ass compared to what you get at home.
The basic minimum will be 10mbps with no limits or throttles.
Most offer VDSL or FTTH with 100mbps to 1gbps for rates ranging from 30k to 65k.
Cable companies offer 10mbps + digital cable TV combos for about 20k (all-in).

I'm not so upbeat about Korean ISPs anymore. Not since what happened with Japan and the Tsunami. In fact, I have seen nothing but slowing, throttled speeds for the last few years.
Just a word of advice... if you're planning to access internet OUTSIDE of Korea, stay away from SK Telecom! |

SK took over hanaro Internet service. It was the worst internet provider. |

I think KT is the best, but they are also the most expensive out of all the providers. |

T-Broad is worse than SK Telecom. I've had a good experience with SK Broadband. I was just curious. |

KT has been the best for me. Speed and stability are good and, best of all, their routers don't seem to block torrents! |

I didn't like KT.
Used them when I returned to Korea back in '09 and everything started out great- I loved to play games while downloading movies on usenet/torrent what have you After two months of blissful net speed they cut me off randomly (even after I restarted my router). The reason they gave was that I owned a macbook and it would never happen on a PC
LG never gave me a hassle- only they don't like to use a foreign name on the billing statement |

I can recommend KT with FTTH if you are going to play games with American servers. I went from 300 ms latency and packet losses to a 150 ms when I switched ISP. |
