I had one for a while - and haven't used it in ages. Photo uploading is a pain and, unless they updated the interface, it's not exactly user-friendly. |

It's falling out of favour. I think Koreans don't even use it that much anymore. |

Korean web design leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately. Cyworld ain't bad, but it ain't great and since the introduction of things like Facebook and Twitter (or me2day) it's really going out of fashion. |

Cyworld is generally considered a girly thing among Koreans. I remember my students asking me if I used myspace back in 2009, I said I used facebook and their faces looked blank. Never really liked myspace. Anyways, fast forward to early 2011 a mini-wave of former students start requesting to be my friend on facebook. I figure they are a little late to the show, I have barely touched my facebook page since 2010. I guess I'm just waiting for the 'next' thing in social networking to pop up. |
