Try to get an OEM version. They are supposed to be sold only with parts to build a computer, but that doesn't matter in korea. You'll pay something like 120,000 for Windows 7, if memory serves.

You can get them at Yongsan Electronic Market, Technomart at Gangbyeon station, and many places.

If the copy you buy ends up Korean, I highly recommend the program Vistalizator... basically free program that lets you overwrite the language files with official Microsoft English files for free.

The only drawback I've noticed is that I have to switch back to Korean to use Windows Update.

Every (retail or OEM) copy (factory original) of win7 I have seen allows you to choose between Korean and English as the default language on the initial install.

My PC says that my copy of W. 7 is not genuine... how can I fix this? Can anyone who may have a serial No. (and no need to run it on another pc/laptop) please share?

If it is in fact genuine, call Microsoft. They will give you another one.

If it is not, then check your favorite "private tracker" and get a keygen.

Just got to btjunkie and downlaod a 'remove WAT' programme.

did it a yr ago and the pop ups never came back and I get full updates etc.
