Not that there are many episodes out yet, but get started on "Boss" and 'Homeland", both good new shows (at least the first few ones that have come out so far)-- and you can watch them on TV when you're back home.

Homeland is really gripping. Did you know the actor playing the lead character is British?

Sons of Anarchy
Breaking Bad
The Sheild-I went through withdrawal when it ended
OZ-Majorly intense, but worth it!
Hoarders

OLDER ONES
Sopranos
Six Feet Under
NYPD Blue-possibly the best cop drama EVER!
Homicide-Life on the Street
Law and Order-Criminal Intent
The Wire--I liked season 4 the best

Wow- I see a trend here! Guess I like the "raunchy stuff" Twisted Evil

Sons of Anarchy is solid. Sputters a bit in the middle of the first season, but it has really come into its own.

I watched the first couple of seasons of Sons of Anarchy, but the bikers and leather machoism was just too camp to take seriously after a while.

I don't need any spoilers here, but is Lost worth watching? I got halfway through season 3 before I gave up on it. It was getting ludicrous at that point and the only thing 'lost' was my patience. Even so, I might try and finish it off some day - if it is actually worth it.

It's kind of trash after the first season. I watched it through to the end so as to find out how it concluded, but I kind of wish I'd just stopped at the end of season one. JJ Abrams tied the plot into so many knots that it became incomprehensible.

I like how they live in that a-team universe where you can have a gun fight and no one gets shot. It's still a pretty good show. Ron Pearlman rules

Deadwood taught me how to speak in circles. Great show too.

If you like some sick stuff about serial killers and the like, and a bunch of geniuses who solve tough cases in a day or two, then Criminal Minds might work. Even with some of the craziness of that show I like the psychology madness.

The Lost Room is a great sci-fi miniseries and is definitely worth a watch.

Two people have described Hoarders as unmissable. I've heard a lot about this show but never seen it. Are you guys serious? Is it really that good? I thought it was just a reality TV type thing where they go into someone's house and throw all their nasty shit away. I saw that on Oprah once, it was alright, but not the Sopranos or anything.

I just finished watching the latest episode of "Hoarders."
The weird thing is I can't really answer why I think it's good--I guess I just like the psychology of it-- real people clinging to things for all kinds of different reasons. Then again, psychology was my major.
I can see how it probably isn't a "must see" for everyone.

I forgot to put "The Killing" on my original list--I'm glad there will be a second/final season.

I also totally agree with "The Golden Girls"--those are re-runs I could never get tired of!
