If I was on a budget I'd buy a no-name TV brand. It's probably going to be just fine.
120mhz is standard now. If there are still 60mhz TV's around they must be pretty old models or the very bottom of the pile current models. |

Go with Samsung. Yeah, they are a bit more expensive, but much better than LG (which I own as well).
Look at TV's at www.enuri.com, which is a price comparison site that includes Gmarket, Auction, 11st, and others.
I wouldn't go with a no-name TV, as they tend to have inferior black levels and are more difficult to get service for.
Go ahead and buy online if you like, but NEVER buy from a Samsung or LG store. They rip you off on price, and the service is actually WORSE from these people because they refuse to replace your TV with anything but their brand. I could write a book about this.
The new ones all come from the same place, and are warranty-serviced by the same people no matter where you buy them from. |
