Now thats pretty cool!

"Huh!? Who paid for our dinner?"
"That man sitting over there sir."
"The one leering at my girlfriend and running the steak knife over his tongue?"
"That's the one sir."
"Hmmm..what did he have to eat?"
"Fauva beans and a nice chianti, sir. Would you like me to call you a cab?"

Hey, the first two - right on! Good to see!

Organ donation, not sure I could do that (unless it was post expiration of course.)

I gave to an orphange in seoul last year. You can contact them and arrange to send gifts. There was a forienger group running it and I got on their email list somehow.

Good stuff! Good spirit!

Around Christmas last year, I gave six 10,000 won bils to random vendors in the street who were freezing their asses off trying to sell their socks or food or whatever. I just said "merry Christmas" and ran away.
One guy who had been handing out flyers tracked me down a couple days later. He came into my workplace to give me a book about traditional Korea. He didn't speak any English, so my Korean co-worker translated. The gentleman said to me: "you made me happy, so I hope this makes you happy."
Pretty cool---

Not sure why I am up late on this forum or why I even read ALL of this thread - but I am so glad I did.

Proper antidote to all those negative threads I have been wading through (to sort my housing problem out)...

On the back of this thread alone I think I might volunteer for something at some point soon - cheers for the inspiration people above my comment.

It have to be one of my fellow teachers--who would skimp on everything. And everyone thought he was a miser. But in truth, the money he saved, he used to proved an entire primary school of orphans, milk in the break for an entire year.
I felt terrible when I found out. And he still does it. Does not drink or smoke... and every extra penny goes to helping the orphans here.

There's a bimonthly clothing swap that takes place at my church and the extras go to charity. Initially, we sent things to Cambodia and a few other places, but over the last few months, we have begun giving things to the homeless here in Seoul and it's been amazing how things that people need, seem to randomly show up at the church.
