Does anyone know if you can access the Internet in Starbucks with an ARC number? I know I could when I arrived 18 months ago, but I wasn't able to last week. They no longer have an English page with directions and everything is in Korean. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

Yes you can use your ARC number. Make sure you use all capital letters when inputting your name without spaces.

tried this afternoon and it told me it only accepts koreans whose names are written in hangeul

Mine worked like 6 months ago, tried it yesterday and it no longer does. But, my girlfriend used hers and it worked fine, she is foreigner as well. So, i don't know.

The sign in the Starbucks I usually go to says that it will only work with items purchased in Korea.

I haven't been since Monday, but it will work with an ARC on a laptop (only through the English page), but not on a phone. I'm not sure what happens with tablet devices.

Has anyone noticed that it normally takes a couple of attempts to login using an ARC? I've noticed this to be true both in Busan and in Seoul. It can be pretty fickle at times.

Just take your MacBooks to another coffee franchise. You'll still look good.
