Will it be valid for a job that starts 01/03/2012?
I think it may be one day out of date, however, the uni usually applied for visa a couple of months before the march term, so I'm thinking it may be still be classed as within 6 months old.
Anyone experienced a similar situation? |

6 months old when it hits the desk at immigration. It doesn't matter about when the job starts.

He knows.
The rule is that the CBC must be less than 6 months old when you apply for your visa. Immigration will issue a Visa Issuance Number that you can then use to get the visa put in your passport and come to Korea. The VIN is valid for 3 months and Immigration does not know when during that 3 months you will come to Korea or when exactly during that 3 months you will begin to work. So, the dates that concern them are the date that your CBC was issued and the date they receive it - and it must be less than 6 months old at that time.
Your August 31, 2011 CBC will be fine if you apply to Immigration in January 2012 to get your VIN, as you seem to indicate you plan to do, since it will be less than 5 months old at that time, so less than the 6 month limit. |
