Do western kids also spend 100 percent of their time in school hallways chasing each other? Korean kids seem to be in a constant state of chasing. Elementary, middle, high school, it doesn't matter, they're all chasing each other. What is the deal? |

Not as much. I've also noticed that Korean kids are more violent than kids from the states. They punch, slap, and kick each other until one of them start crying. And most of the time, Korean teachers don't seem to mind. |

To the kid chasing, it isn't as often as we see it. I remember chasing and being chased at elementary school. I didn't take notice of anyone else but the person I was chasing and the people chasing me.
Maybe what you are seeing is a group/individual dynamic. They are more likely to do things in groups, whereas in the states there is more recognition with cliques (I'd say from 4th grade on).
I also remember dodgeball. Games like this are substitutes for chasing. |

Maybe when we were in elementary school it was ok to chase. Now if a student is caught chasing another student he is called a bully, locked up, declared to have mental problems, and medicated into a zombie like state. Here kids are still allowed to be kids. |

Yesterday, I watched two boys play a game in class. They would sit and stare at each other closely. Then one boy would reach over to plug the other boy's nose, so that he couldn't breath. If the boy with the plugged up nose moved, he would get a slap. It was funny to watch. |

Have you ever notice that the queen is smiling on the Canadian nickel? It's because someone is always touching her beaver.
Kids need a place to run and get their energy out, no matter where they are in the world. If they don't have the space/time/opportunity availed to them, they will let it out where they can. |

We used recess for this. But they actually do things for PE and can't chase each other then. And we played more organized sports than I see here. But if we ran in school like these kids do it would have been the end for who ever was running. |

Uh oh!
No qualifiers were used in your language! You must have LITERALLY meant "100 percent" and "ALL". Get ready for the onslaught....
