My Hagwon director in Ulsan wants to hire a part-time native English teacher.
He doesn't know how much salary to offer.
How much is a standard per hour, per day, and per month wage for the average part time worker.
I'm guessing 4-6 aternoon hours at the location. |

I'm guessing 4-6 afternoon hours at the location. |
6 class hours per day (whether mornings, afternoons or evenings is irrelevant), 5 days per week is a full time position.
2.3 million won + full benefits (visa sponsorship, medical, pension, air, housing, severance, etc.)
Basically, 20k won per class hour + benefits.
If there are no benefits and/or no visa sponsorship then you are looking at 50k per class hour for an F-visa teacher (part time).

yeah, at 6 hours a day it would be cheaper to actually sponsor a new E2 than to hire someone part time. |

you could probably get someone for 35,000/hour since it's blocked time. As a general rule, anything for one hour is usually 50,000 when you're going to travel there, but when you start blocking classes together it saves transportation time, lag time, and is simply easier... |

On F2. My town is 500,000 people so pay is usually lower.
A one off hour is 50K.
For block shifts its 40K per 50 min class, or 35K per 40 min class. That's for at least 3 in a row, although most jobs are 4 or 5 in a row. |

Two hours a day isn't going to get your boss much of a discount on w50,000 an hour for an F-visa. Possibly 45,000 although with the new registration requirements making it near impossible to hire an illegal teacher with big consequences if they do, I am not sure why an F visa would discount.
Yes I know E2's can get permission to work a 2nd job, but I figure most are busy from 4-6 as even split shift adult institutes have 5pm classes. |

There were new laws passed recently? Could you explain? |
