Further to my previous post, the clinic have now suggested I take a computer test for ADHD.
I'm a bit dubious about it. Doesn't seem like a very good way to diagnose a whole condition and I don't know where I stand with inattentive type. I can flip and focus on a computer game for a bit ok but it doesn't help my life much.
Can anyone give me any info on the test and what to expect? Could PM me if you don't want to post..
Thanks a lot. |

From what I have read, the computer tests examine your memory and attention and measure your heart-rate and brain activity according to this article: http://www.smh.com.au/technology/computer-test-catches-children-with-adhd-20100217-odz2.html. How much is that going to cost you? And if they tell you that you've got ADHD what are you going to do? There are probably ways to improve your attention, but lots of folks take medication if that's your aim. |

Thanks for the link.
I want to try medication, but was concerned that the test was not for inattentive type adhd. The article talks about hyperactivity and impulsivity so bit worried the test will be a waste of time.
Also wanted to know what to expect, so that helps if it's the same one, thanks.
It costs 150,000 so not throwaway money. |
