I flew there on Cebu Pacific and it wasnt that cheap. For how close Taiwan and Japan are to Korea, it costs about as much to fly double the distance. Id say you are looking at 350-500 bucks depending on the season, day of the week, etc. With little variation between airlines.

I flew with Cathay Pacific. I think it cost me about $600 or $700 US for a round-trip last July. Keep in mind that I planned this trip last minute.

I'd also check the websites for Eva Airlines, China Airlines (based in Taipei), and Air Busan (flies Busan to Taipei).

I just booked for 450 USD on Korean Air.... departing Christmas Day and returning New Year's Day.... BUT book on China Airlines' website. It's cheaper. They codeshare with Korean, so you will fly Korean Air.... BUT if you go to buy the same tickets on KoreanAir.com it's like 100 USD more. Odd.

If you have the money you should stay at the Grand Hotel. Really great place.
