Also on the market for one OP, but think I'm going to wait for the new Galaxy SIII that should come out early next year. If the hype is to be believed it might be worth the wait and also save me the bother of buying a new camera because it's to come with a 12mp camera. |

Jumping on the megapixel bandwagon?
I was looking forward to the Galaxy Nexus but apparently the screen is the much-hated SAMOLED type, not SAMOLED Plus. |

What do you mean by the hated SAMOLED??
And whats better about SAMOLED plus??
I think the screen is SAMOLED on the Galaxy I and it looks pretty awesome.

Has anyone pulled the trigger and bought an iPhone 4S?
Also, has anyone had time to play with the Motorola Droid Razr? Looks a fantastic piece of kit but a sealed battery has me a little worried. |

From: http://androidadvices.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-info/
Going with the specifications its expected to obviously be an upgrade of the Galaxy S2 with the Camera being 12Mp, quad-core processor, a super-bright AMOLED 3D screen with NFC, 4G Supported device etc. to name a few. Also its expected that this would be the first phone which would feature the Ice Cream Sandwich. Also the screen size should be around 4.5″ which beats the LG Optimus 3D and also offer you with 4G connectivity support. Lets wait and watch how all this goes and when the phone would be actually be available to you and then you can decide if its worth upgrading your current phone or not. It is also said that this phone will be launched in the first half of FY12. So, just in case if you have not purchased the last phone from the Samsung which is the Samsung Galaxy S2 then its probably just time to wait as you can buy an all new and probably the Worlds best would be smart phone, the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Highlight Features of Samsung Galaxy S3:
NFC (Near Field Communication) Chip,
3rd generation Super AMOLED 3D Screen,
Ultra Low SAR Levels,
Blazing fast Speeds with Quad Core Processor,
Probable 4G Supported Phone,
Slimmest Smart Phone ever |

Well, I'm not a smartphone expert but most of the people around me have iPhones and love them. The thing I've heard about the Galaxy models is that they have a lot of kinks to work out and reboots are common. I wouldn't mind an iPhone but one big drawback is the non-replaceable battery.
I might wait for the S3 after all, though. |

I got a Galaxy S2 back in May and it's been wonderful. My favourite aspects of the phone:
1) The beautiful screen
Colors are extremely vivid and sharp, and the large viewing area makes reading things on the internet easy. I know some Apple fans like to say that 4.3" is just monstrously big and that 3.5" is perfect, but I think they're just rationalizing. As soon as Apple upgrades to 4" or bigger, they're going to start singing a different tune.
2) Spare battery
This is a lifesaver if you're going to be constantly on the move all day and won't have a few hours to spare to recharge your phone. It's liberating to listen to music or go on the internet without a care in the world with regards to battery life.
3) It's built like a tank
The Galaxy S2 may be slim and sleek, but it's one tough device. Some people may complain about the plastic build, but plastic absorbs impact much better than glass while not being too heavy like metal. I've dropped my phone about 10 times now, and there's not a single scratch on the phone. And I don't use a case.
TechRadar and Consumer Reports are two publications that have deemed the Galaxy S2 the best smartphone in the market right now. If you want the best, I'd get the Galaxy S2 HD LTE and wait for the Ice Cream Sandwich update in a few months. The Galaxy Nexus is cool-looking, but the Galaxy S2 HD LTE is better. |

i would personally wait for the galaxy s3. another person made a post above about specs on the s3 which are just hearsay at this point. there has been no official leaks or information given on the handset as of this point that i am aware of.
as for the current generation of smartphones the s2 lte is only for the early lte adopters and the s2 hd are for the people who wanted the s2 but were late to the game, respectively. for the early adopters who are not interested in jumping in the first gen lte bandwagon and/or those with a smartphone in the realm of a s2 or 4gs or lower, waiting for the s3 would be the wise decision. |

I've had a call saying I can pick my 4S up later today (11 days earlier than they initially said), so I'll post up what I think after the weekend... |
