Do immi need a copy of the degree that's been apostilled, or the actual degree apostilled?

I think I've made a big boo boo and gone and gotten my actual certificate apostilled rather than a copy of it, cus immi wont be able to give it back, right?

Do immigration also need a copy of your degree? I sent my degree copy and CRB to EPIK without remember to make any copies of it.

Immigration wants the ORIGINAL CBC with apostille and a (photo) COPY of your degree with an apostille.

They will NOT return either document to you.

You will NOW also need photocopies of both apostilled documents for the MOE/POE so make copies.

Ask them to return the documents to you. Figure out a way to pay for the shipping or reimburse them for it.

I thought that EPIK wanted the documents that had the apostille attached to them which was my certified copy of my degree and the original copy of the Criminal check? What was I supposed to send EPIK instead?

I was under the impression that EPIK never return documents to you.

I misunderstood you. Yes, send your certified/notarized/apostilled copy of your degree. Send your original certified CBC (EPIK/your school will forward it to immigration when processing your visa).

With these new changes, I am not sure if EPIK is registering copies of your CBC with the MOE/POE. But I would imagine they would....but, people don't always know the new regulations who should. So maybe they aren't.

You should not need another CBC unless you switch jobs and need to get an all new visa. Or until next year, as I understand these new regulations.

So good news - you will get your visa. Bad news - your school MIGHT have trouble registering you with the MOE/POE (although I doubt it).

Contact EPIK, find out if you need a copy of your CBC. Maybe if it isn't too late, the person on the other end of the line can email it to you or mail it to your school. If you do need another CBC, you still have time to get one by the January deadline.

I sent a photocopy of all my documents apart from the lesson plans to EPIK as per their request so I am guessing that they are passing those on to the MOE/POE.

Bit In Bold: Smile Add legalised to that list too, since that's what the FCO calls it. These names are endless and confusing. Although fair play to FCO, they actually dealt with the documents very quickly and with little fuss. Imagine that encountering efficiency from a British government department (I worked for a few government departments so I know what they are like).
