I read someplace that the national health insurance covers us for one comprehensive medical checkup per year. Is this correct?
Am I correct in assuming that this includes blood work and all sorts of other little stuff?
As I'd like to keeps tabs on the general state of my health, I'm thinking of getting such a medical exam. Can I get it at any public or private hospital for about the same fee? |

Most of us dudes never think about such things.Personally,I'd rather get shot in the foot than go for an optional, comprehensive medial exam where they take out every fluid imaginable and poke and prod you with strange devices.
It's a fact that 90% of men hate doctors and hospitals and all other such stuff.
We shouldn't, but we do.
Good on you for wanting to be pro-active with respect to your health.
I just eat relatively well, don't smoke, don't use any drugs, drink in moderation, exercise semi- regularly and hope for the best. |

I go for one every two years. It's subsidized through my wife's company, so I'm not sure on the actual cost.
I think it's a great option, actually. Good to get that full workup, IMO. |
