Because my visa doesn't specify whether or not it's a single-entry or multiple-entry. Neither does my ARC. |

Yes, if and only if you have an ARC. This is true for all visas now, not just the E-2. If you have an ARC you can re-enter the country as many times as you like. If you leave the country before applying for an ARC your visa is cancelled. |

Your visa does specify (there should be an "S" under entries) and was probably single entry (most are unless you are American (then it MAY have had an "M")).
Your ARC (once you get it) allows multiple re-entry privileges (regardless of how many entries your visa has (single or multiple) for as long as it remains valid (the exception being F5s who have a 2 year (continuous) limit for being out of the country).
