How long does everyone get for lunch breaks? Just wondering if mine is normal or not, I guess I'll see after seeing everyone's response.

At a hagwan it can vary from as short as 10 minutes (break between classes) to as long as 8 hours (adult hagwan split shifts).

At a public school it is usually about 1 hour from end of the last class in the morning to beginning of the 1st class of the afternoon.

As long as you're teaching all your class your lunch break can be pretty flexible.

I work at a hagwon, so it's a dinner break.

It's 15 minutes.

I've worked at two hagwons.

During normal times of year, hagwon hours 2pm-10pm: there is no lunch (dinner) break at all. In the bigger chain I've worked at, food often shows up in the teachers' room around 7pm for teachers to grab 'on the go'.

During students' school vacation periods (one month in summer and one in winter), hagwon hours 8am-5pm: There are one-hour lunch breaks noon to 1pm.
