Most games I buy in Bangkok for PS3 are sourced from Korea.
All have original (english) soundtrack/subtitles |

Audio: English
Text: Korean
I imagine there's a lot of text, so I gave it a pass. |

Personally I'd avoid it and play Skyrim. |

I've bought around 40 PS3 titles in Korea and all of them played entirely in English without even a hint of Korean except on the box and the manual. This includes all games where the seller warned me explicitly that the game would only play in Korean language. Most of the titles are from US or EU software houses but at least some Japanese titles have English localization as well (Devil's Souls, Dark Souls) .
My PS3 was bought in 2008 here in Korea as well.
My PS3 settings are all for an English location/language and I've signed up (had to sign up) for the German PS3 store because of the credit card I used. I didn't even try Korean for the machine or the store for fear that I'd be locked in to a Korean system.
Based on that I no longer care about what it says on the box or what the vendore says. If the game was originally published in English it runs in English 40/40 so far.
Bad luck with EA titles and multiplayer though, EA does not allow for the combination of a PSN account in region X and a game bought in Korea or another region Y. If you're planning on buying BF3 or NFS:Rush for example, keep that in mind. The BF3 single player campaign turns out to be a 6-8 hour cinematic video "may I shoot too, Sir?"
Also in that case, forget about buying DLC's. |

The only US game I know that had Korean only text is was Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but I only heard that from secondary sources so I could be wrong. |

40 Ps3 games in Korea? What a waste of money. I've got about 100+ games included BFIII and Uncharted 3 that I downloaded for my ps3. |

Amazing that you find the time to actually play 100+ games. I'm still not done with most of the 40 I got, and those were purchased over a period of 4 years. AFAIK the PS3 "hack" hasn't even been out that long.
Now what's really a waste of money is if you buy PS3 games in Europe; Korean games cost about half of what they cost there. |

I got my original Xbox modded and also owned a dream cast.....
Haven't bothered with the 360 as I don't really have the time to play many games at all and just p;refer sticking to titles I really want and playing them a lot. I haven't had much time of late but MW3 and Skyrim look pretty tempting for Winter Holidays. |

This is why I've been buying so many games in Korea. They literally are half the price. I bought Battlefield 3 Limited Edition (PC) for 40,000won, and the new Metal Gear HD collection for 48,000, and that doesn't even come out in Europe until February 2012! |
