In all fairness, we do not for sure why the children were removed. However, the article certainly gives that impression, and no abuse has been alleged.

Why do you surmise they were taken?

All we know so far is the Holland Township police say they had received no complaints about abuse or neglect, and after three years of being parents, the parents lost their kids immediately after the cake incident.

As if having neo-Nazi parents isn't bad enough, now the kids have to deal with a Gestapo government throwing them into the ranks of millions of other children who aren't raised by both parents.

I would have to agree with the general consensus here. As distasteful as it is for the parents to name and undoubtedly raise their children as Nazis, its no business of mine, or the governments.

Here's one that's even worse. In Scotland, a 46 and 59 year old couple lost custody of their grandchildren because they're "too old." I guess if Sarah Palin was to move to Scotland, she'd lose custody of her baby since she's 45 and would be in her 60s while he's still a minor.

It's ridiculous to surmise anything on the basis of these reports. Maybe someone did allege abuse or neglect and the allegations weren't made public for whatever reason (maybe to protect the victims' privacy?). As usual, the Dave's crowd has jumped to a hasty conclusion with no supporting evidence whatsoever. Rolling Eyes

Parents of 'Adolf Hitler' Lose Custody of Newborn

So based on names, these parents are never allowed to have kids again? Now that's fascistic!

Didn't you even bother to read the article at the link you posted?

We would never remove a child simply based on their name, the spokeswoman said.

Neighbor Lori Dilts told ABCNews.com at the time the children were taken that it was certainly not because of their names.

Now that's some pretty selective quoting out of context! Note that the spokeswoman only said what would (hypothetically) never happen. She never said what actually happened. Why didn't you include what followed:
Quote:
In October, the Campbell parents were cleared of child abuse charges but an appeals court ruling prevented them from getting their children back.

"Actually, the judge and DYFS told us that there was no evidence of abuse and that it was the names. They were taken over the children's names," Heath Campbell told NBC 10 in October.

The same thing would and SHOULD happen to a parent who names their kid "N*gg** Killer" or some such crap, which is what naming your kid Adolph Hitler basically is.

What you claimed followed was not in the article you referenced.

It's up to no one the children's parents to decide what to name their children. I may not agree with the name but they aren't my children.

In other words, we should turn into authoritarian, power-hungry fascist types in order to be sure to prevent fascism? Shocked

Exactly. Menino, if you don't want kids named something then by all means have kids and don't name them that. Just mind your own damn business.

This is about hate, not fascism. Try to keep up.
