It says something about todays youth though that such a rumour is so widely believed so quickly.

"people" who do that should be hunted down and shot where they stand.

I don't know how often it happens, but I have personally seen a victim after he was stitched/stapled in a Mission Hills hospital (northern part of Los Angeles). My mom told me about patients she stitched up. And my copper friends in South-Central Los Angeles said this stuff happens down there.

I did a quick search and found that Tiny Fey (Saturday Night Live) got slashed when she was a little kid.

"Regarding the scar on Fey's left cheek, in an interview in Vanity Fair, husband Jeff Richmond says a stranger slashed Fey's face when she was five years old. He says the incident occurred in the front yard of her house."

The description they have on there is inaccurate. Thugs don't do it for their gang, they do it out of spite.

There is probably a disproportionate amount of people who have been socialized in certain neighborhoods that being violent is fun and hurting people is fun, but it happens amongst all ethnic groups to varying degrees.

I will add, however, this crosses outside of the hood. You have so many violent people of all backgrounds. In Vancouver, you had people of all backgrounds going absolutely crazy and violent. I don't think they would generally come from the better neighborhoods of a city, but there are exceptions. People can join the dark side.

This is in Vancouver, Canada.

A Chicago teen was arrested and charged for the videotaped attack of an elderly man in April at the Chicago Avenue Red Line station.

Scotty Strahan, 18, of the 8600 S. Normal Ave. turned himself into Area 3 officers, police said, after authorities issued alerts seeking his arrest. Strahan was charged with aggravated battery to a transit passenger and battery in a public place
