Hey guys. Thanks. Ok so my only question is, how would EPIK know that you broke a contract then? So there must be some kind of file or record affecting you.
So it sounds like it's quite easy to do the MNR, come back on a tourist visa if you want to, and go from there.
I'm starting to get tired of all the hassle here. Korea has some opportunity but, well, you guys know about all the BS that also happens. Hmm... what to do? |
EPIK doesn't care about broken hakwon contracts too much...unless there is a history of such. They take breaking contracts at THEIR schools MUCH more seriously though... |

I'd add that ALL public schools care if you quit ANY of them for WHATEVER reason.
Hey OP!
If you want to get out, just hop the boat to Japan and hand in your ARC as Ttompatz told you. Then return that day or following and start hunting for jobs again... unless you want a LOR (which would help with the new job/visa issues) |

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the info. So it's sounding more and more like a MNR can work if you're in a situation you're really unhappy about and there aren't many other options.
Would having a midnight run on your immigration file limit you in any way from going to school here or getting a student visa? It's something I have thought about doing maybe, so I wouldn't want to limit that if I can.
Oh and it must complicate pension and health insurance a bit I would think if you suddenly stop paying into them because of MNR and then try to get them again with a new job?
That's about all for now. Thank you guys very much! |

nope...
It is just quitting a job. Would you worry about quitting a job stocking shelves and bagging groceries at your neighborhood convenience store?
No different.
