Dear All,

I have just gotten a wifi router Anygate XM-700A. I got a used one.

I don't have the manual, however when I tried to download them, there is no english language (only Korean).

Now I use KT internet connection with the Cable TV included.

Is anyone here can help me?

You can reply to my e-mail solunce(dot)biru(at)gmail(dot)com

thanks,

Arya

If it is in Korean, I suggest asking a Korean student or friend who knows computers to help.

If you just want it to work, and dont care about security, hook it up (assuming you know how) plug it in and press/hold the little button on the back for 5 seconds. The button may be a recessed pinhole you need to stick a paperclip-sized wire or pen into to push. Doing this will default the router to factory mode. You can then connect via wifi, but with no security (neighbors can use it too). Removing the antenna may cut down range enough that not as many could steal your signal.

Have someone add security later, if u do this.

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried your suggestion, the reset (I think) is successful. However, the wireless network still can't be found.

There are 4 LED:

1. PWR
2. SYS
3. WAN
4. LAN (with 4 connection)

The SYS is always blinking red, but the WAN and LAN is active (green light) so as the Power (blue light).

Don't know how to set it again, or is the WIFI router broken?

You don't see any wifi network when you search for it on your computer? Do you see other networks in the area (your wifi is powered on on the computer, right?).

If not, then it sounds like it's broken? Even if you cannot connect to it, you should at least see something.

Personally, I'd never purchase a used router. They tend to die in a year or two, anyway.

Have you tried plugging directly into the back of the router? Did that work?

The LAN cable that usually connect to my Laptop is inserted to the WAN, and the router can be functioned as LAN switch.

I detect the wifi using my smartphone. The Laptop is still using the cable connection from the switch.

Thanks much for your information.
