I have an American document that needs to be notarized. I am currently living in Seoul.

My lawyer says that a Korean notary is ok. However, I imagine not ALL notaries speak English. I can't go to the Embassy (assuming they can do it). I thought maybe a bank?

Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Similar situation, but mine is a Korean document. My understanding is that the notary process is the same/similar as it is in the States - just executing an affidavit stating that you, in fact, are the person signing/executing whatever document you have.
In Korea, notary is called: "공증인" - copy/paste it into Google maps, find the closest office, bring your Korean speaking friend with you (if you haven't made any, do so first), execute.
Not sure how much it is however. Going to go in sometime this week to do it.

Hope this helps.
