Perhaps Occupy protesters everywhere would get more sympathy if they didn't do things like this:

Really? Have you not been keeping up with the incidents where the police use too much force? Or should we color all the police as you've colored all the protesters, as pepper-spray happy brutes?

Once it was fire hoses and German shepards trying to keep the colored folks in line, now it's pepper spray keeping the students in line. The more things change...

I don't agree with that.

OK, you agree with forgetting. Got it. Weird, but got it.

No, I think he's saying he doesn't see "government provocateurs" posing as UC Davis protesters.

Where do you see them?

I've always thought ba was a little fuzzy on the difference between 'is' and 'could be'...I suppose it's a little bit like WJC and his questioning the definition of 'is'.

Since the police chief and two of the officers have been placed on leave...that's hardly "despotic power".

Neither is paid leave quite accountability.

But that might be what the union contract stipulates. I have a hunch the two of them won't be working there much longer. Ditto with the police chief.

I agree they'll end up getting fired, but it was the university administration that called them out in the first place and bears final responsibility.

What are you talking about? I said that protests are often if not always hijacked to some extent by thugs, but I don't accept that these thugs are government stooges in the current round of protests in the US as you suggested. That is all.

I'm responding to you. You offered that thugs often hijack protests in general, and I offered that said thugs are often provocateurs in general. I never said it was specific to this protest. That is all.

Okay then i do agree with you, I stand corrected. It's certainly the kind of thing Ghaddaffi used to do.
