You've updated to the 4S and you seriously expect almost 300$ for a 3 generation old phone? Lol.. They go on craigslist all the time for around 2.. which IMO is still too high for a 3GS. Look on Ebay, people pay around this for a 4. PASS |

Clearly overpriced...
There is an unlocked 3GS 16GB for sale on waygook.org for 125k that is jailbroken and unlocked.
http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,24723.0.html
Can you seriously justify charging so much more for an extra 16GB of space?! |

Here we go..... people who are clearly not interested in buying, sabotaging a well meaning 'for sale ad'. (thanks for the bump to the top btw)
Ok I have a spare 2 mins, so will bite.
To Valhor. I actually used davesesl and craigslist (Korea) to get to my asking price. If you wish to compare US ebay or US prices then please take into account shipping, taxes, time, etc. Not to be funny but if I had bought my bike in the US I would have saved 13 million won. But I didn't, I bought it in Korea and if I sold it again I would obviously price the bike for Korea as this is the market we are living in.
Where were we, ah yes craigslist, ok I just did a quick browse for iphone 3gs:
(This is from the last few days)
Iphone 3Gs White 16Gb - KRW270 (Seoul) pic
Apple iphone 3gs 32gb - KRW325000 (Seoul)
iPhone 3GS 32GB - KRW250000 (Gwanak-gu, Seoul) pic
Iphone 3GS 8GB - KRW200000 (Seoul) pic
Phone 3GS Gold White Upgrade - KRW300000 (Seoul,)
iphone 3GS 32GB Black - KRW250000 (suwon)
iPhone 3GS 32GB Black Factory Unlocked - KRW350000 (Seoul)
--
Now considering the fact that I am offering an Iphone which is only 3-4 months old (not 2 years+, almost all other 3gs iphones will be more than 2 years old because of the 2 year contract) and which has a capacity of 32GB, I think the price is fair.
To JK1984, 16GB indeed is different to 32GB and furthermore that phone is over a year old, and appears to be broken.
Market determines price and I think the asking price is fair. If I am unable to sell then I will lower the asking price.
Best

I just bought a 32GB 3GS on CL. There are reasons to buy a 3GS, and here was my big one:
It doesn't use a Micro SIM. I am going to a country that barely has a decent cell phone network, but it's GSM, and they have SIM cards, NOT Micros. I'll be getting a cell given to me. It's a basic dumb phone. But if I bring a smart phone with me, I'll get 3G data FREE of charge. I like the Apple set up better than Android. Had I not just bought the 3GS I did, I'd definitely have bought this one.
For the record, the one I bought was also a service center returb complete in box with all original manuals and cables. I paid his asking price of W250,000 (not much less than this post). I was surprised get such a nice pack, as the guy didn't advertise it. He also sat with me while I tested it with an activated US SIM card, which was quickly recognized by the phone no problem. If this seller is anything like the guy I met, then his price is very fair.
To the person saying W290,000 is almost $300; that is a big twist on the story. $300 is more than W335,000 this morning, and that is an underestimate with a won that is stronger now than it was in the past few days. I've been selling my stuff off for the past few months on here, Craig, and some local markets I've found on FB. I've been lucky not to be dealing with too many "advocates", but it's still not easy. Unless you're interested in buying, let's not be so negative. If you have a problem, send a message to the person, don't publicly bash them. (...or you could always go "occupy" something to show your outrage)
Finally, I don't know this person, but I'd say they're possibly a little high, but if there's good "customer service", and all is as described, then this is a fair deal in my opinion.
OP, good luck with your sale!
PS: Just did a quick google search, and if you're like me and don't want a jailbroken phone, eBay is not the place for you. I checked about 10 random listings, and found this:
1. ZERO Buy it now ads under $200
2. ZERO Factory Unlocked 32GB 3gs phones (only checked up to the $270 price point) |

I scour CL all the time, and I think this is a fair price. It's not significantly higher or lower than any other listings I've seen. The guy who posted on WG doesn't know if it works or not, and it was a factory replacement. That's why he's selling it for so cheap. Also, if one person sells it for pennies on the dollar, does that mean all the other sellers should do the same? Obviously not.
And, again about CL, slight tangent, I'm getting annoyed as hell by the people who bash other people's listings. Clearly some people are overpricing their things, but that's the nature of putting up ads. If you set it at a fair price, you'll get offered much lower than that. If you set it at a great deal, you'll get offered much lower than that. So a) if you are looking to buy, make an offer you think is fair, and b) if you aren't looking to buy, don't publicly bash other people's listings. Never seen it this bad outside of Korea.
Edit: I also use Worthmonkey.com to find the market value of electronics. Then take into account that we're in Korea and set my value of the electronics accordingly. So for the Iphone 3gs 32gb: http://worthmonkey.com/#/iphone%203gs%2032gb
Convert that into won and it's roughly 240,000 won. Taking into account that we're in Korea and apple products are pricier than back in the States, the OP's price is not as ridiculous as you think. Just my two cents. |

Haters gonna hate.
Why do idiots come on FS ads and start arguing about the price?
If the guy doesn't get anyone to bite, he will lower the price.
This is how the stock market works, people arbitrage all the time. |
