Hi guys,

I would really really appreciate you advice ideas! what happens if you can't get hold of one of your original reference letters. I sent both electronical versions with my application so that's fine. I've received one of my references in hard copy. The second referee has gone MIA. Heworks in the same organisation but is now based in one of the international branches. It was LITERALLY like pulling teeth to get the electronic reference in the first place, I had to make international skype calls and all sorts. And now he is completely ignoring me. Ive emailed, facebooked, called everything, explained in my email how important that he post this is, provided the link to the EPIK sight so he can see with he's two eyes that Im not making it up, told him that he can send it directly there if he would prefer. I literally do not know what else to do? [/b]

Use a good printer and print it full page in color on nice paper. Present it as the original.

I'm pretty sure they ask for it to be signed in pen, don't think a printer would look convincing.

Here's what i'd do...scan it in to jpeg, load it into an editor such as photoshop, remove the original signature & letterhead so that all you have left is the original text.

Now, print it out again onto some of your company letterhead so that all that's missing is the signature.

Add the signature.

Done.

I've just put in a nice (as oppose to agressive) complaint and request for help at the UK office, so now its time to wait and see! - am crossing my fingers and toes! If that fails printed off document it is. I can't photoshop etc it, as I no longer work for that org and don't have the letter heads!

Don't listen to the photoshop advice. If they have the electronic version, they WILL be able to spot the forgery. They had a problem with this in the past.

I was in the same situation and because I'm a graphic designer, it was tempting. I just got a new letter of reference from another source and it was cool. I even attached a small note explaing my situation.

Excuse me but your ID tag is offensive to several people on here.
Would you mind changing it please.
