One time, I was really drunk and I got some bread, a knife and a cutting board. It now seems that I should have gotten a patent. Sort of like instant soup. The soup is ready when the water boils either way.

Why use bread at all? Just slap meat, cheese or whatever and squirt mustard/spread mayonaise or whatever in your hand OR grab handfuls of jelly, jam, peanut butter or whatever OR cut up cucumber or whatever and hold it in your hand and squirt mayo and shake some salt and/or pepper or whatever on it, and eat it all right out of your hands.

huh?...and eat like savages? Confused

this is an outrage! the Earl will have none of it, you hear? Evil or Very Mad

the crust is eaten or goes to waste. i have curly hair because i've eaten the crust on my sandwiches since my first p&j swish into my college freshman year. i've always hated it and started slicing it off my sandwiches later in college. i resented my mama for forcing me to eat it and haven't spoken to her since college. am i a bad son? Don't Do It!

I agree with Steelrails. Isn't removing the crust an act reserved exclusively for kids? Like hating onions and, well, eating PB&J sammiches.

I spent a lot of time perfecting my egg and milk wash to get the perfect crusts on my bread. In fact, my husband's favorite slices are the "book ends."

duly noted, Z. yet, as good as it gets, it's just so hard to digest and here, in the Korea, it sometimes smells funny and is hard and crunchy! i want the white and savor the meat but the edge just does me in, dude... Mad

Give whole wheat multigrain bread a try. It'll boost the taste factor.

indeed, i love that bread with salmon or tuna and mayo (salt and pepper) but the crust still fills me up and makes my handsome ass feel fat and bloated (sticks to my hairy, manly chest)! Mad i need crust-less bread so i can breathe and digest while lecturing my magic English teaching... Sad

oh, earl of sandwich! why couldn't you discover a crust-less sandwich, one easy to digest and takes less time cutting the crust off...some say the crust was always meant for the upper-crust of society, but these days i say it's meant for the easy-to-digest clique, n'est-pas? Sad
