You know what, I feel bad for men. We have to jump through so many hoops in order to get the girl. I am not advocating a return to clubbing a girl on the head and dragging her home but a change is needed. The pendulum has swung too far in the opposite way.
There's a lot of factors for this. Hollywood has programmed females into thinking how men should act when dating a woman. Also I love it when women expect men to pay for everything and yet they harp on about equal treatment. I don't mind paying for most of the dates but when a woman pays every once in a while, it's pretty nice.

Men are conditioned to expect certain behaviour from women too. Hollyweird and the like convince them to spend lots of money to ridiclous clothes and make-up etc as well. Really when it comes to those type of things, I think its pretty much equal. Just depends on what side of the fence you reside, who you think is more hard done by.
The solution, don't date. I'll save you a drama and money. Simple. |

"Not oblivious to eating"? What are you talking about? I guess every guy would appreciate a women who knows what she is eating. |
Now, now, don't take what I typed out of context. The question is not "what" she is eating but rather "where" she is eating. The "where" in this question from the OP being Kimbap Cheonguk. |

Depends on the guy. The better looking you are, the less hoops you jump through. |

Wait... So if you meet a girl who is aware (not oblivious) that she is eating at Kimbap Cheonguk, she's a keeper? It's not out of context, it's just incorrect.
I think what you mean is "not adverse to eating at Kimbap Cheonguk." |

Yes, "adverse" would fit with what I was trying to say
Not sure why I focused on "oblivious". Probably thinking of another close sounding adjective but I'll stick with "indifferent". |

NYC Gal, I think you meant "averse"
Now I'm waiting for someone to point out the flaw in my post. It's like an Internet law that whenever you correct someone there is a mistake in your own post. |

I'd like to point out that being averse to eating at Kimbap Cheonguk can be based where it is and/or what it serves and/or how much it is.
I have no problem with cheaply priced food or in a place that isn't glitz and glamor. But I don't want to eat single dish reheated frozen Korean food unless I have to. And I'm guessing a fair number of ladies (and fellers) out there don't want to either. I mean we're talking about the exact same food you get at Family Mart with a plop of Kimchi added in.
AS for where, could it also be that a fair number of Kimbap places are depressingly lit and look like they could use a total scrub down?
Think about it, Kimbap places are like the Ram's Horn of Korea (A Detroit area chain that was a cheap version of Denny's which served cafeteria-tasting food on a plate). Can you see how someone might not like eating there 3-5 times a week?
It's like if someone wanted to eat at Denny's 3-5 times a week. If I ate that my taste buds would go to crap, my gut would bloat, my face would break out, my stomach would gurgle, my colon would shudder, and my heart would seize. To say nothing of having to deal with the Denny's crowd (screaming infants, habitually excessive drunks, weirdos- same crowd you get in, you guessed it, KimBap places).
This reminds me of the thread where people claimed Korean girls dress themselves up to go sit in Dunkin Donuts because Dunkin Donuts is a status symbol. A confederacy of the clueless. |

I've noticed a certain segment of local females do dress up to sit in a coffee shop, while I find it tacky and wasteful (going to a coffee shop to "study" when you have a free alternative) there aren't any suitable alternatives.
And back to the OP, there was a satire article that American college grads had the "perk" of gaining a sexcretary it was true here until recently |

Oh no, not you too...
To explain it- They are already dressed up. They just happen to be in a coffee shop.
Think about it- Monica and Rachel look good, but do they doll themselves up to go sit in Central Perk? No, they just are already dolled up and happen to be in Central Perk.
Again, no one is getting any big shot status over being able to get into an Angel-in-us or Dunkin Donuts and sit there. |

Change it to something like the vast majority are already dressed up and you'd be 'in the zone' because -in all likelihood- there are a few people who do, in fact, get dressed up just for the sake of going to a coffee shop. |

Who? Who would try and claim status by sitting in a coffee shop? A $5 meal at Kimbap Chungook isn't a status symbol, but a 4 buck latte is?
Again, the woman is dressed up for a variety of reasons, but not because she is going to a coffee shop. She is dressed up because she is going out and the place she happens to be going is a coffee shop, but will also involve other destinations.
Get a clue people. Dressed up women+Coffee Shop does not equal dressing up to go to a coffee shop.
Put it this way- there are tons of dressed up women in the subway. Does that mean they dressed up to ride the subway? |

Someone who may or may not be deranged, eccentric, or simply desperate. People are weird, you know.

Supposition on your part. Granted, a supposition that I'd go along with, too, with regard to the vast majority of people.

I'm pretty sure I have a clue, thanks. See above. |

I didn't say anything about claiming status, rather females dressing up and spending money to be in a coffee shop meeting friends or "studying". Which is ridiculous.
If there is a status chase, its among groups of girls. |
