Shocked Shocked

While you were there, did you bullseye womp rats in your T-16?

Funny guy! You know what I meant (and just be glad I didn't go into the story of some old guy brandishing his light saber).

Gecko's sucks anyway.

The hill stories are also good for a laugh. I kind of miss drinking late at Debut but the last time I tried it, it wasn't nearly as cool as I had remembered.

I don't understand why people are dumping on the OP. The only thing he did wrong was go into Gecko's.

To me the people at fault are the staff that keep serving very drunk and belligerent customers.

No place is ever as good as it 'used to be.' Entrophy is everywhere and we WILL turn into our grandparents. Laughing

Seriously though I find the same but usually either due to friends I used to go places with having moved on or just my frame of mind being different.

I say when it gets like that, it's time to move on somewhere new.

Perhaps then things will be exciting again and thus you will be excited and met other excited people. Like attracts like etc.

Or perhaps after about 28 yrs old, life is just like that?

I think not, I think the moving on part is key and is why I am currently in my last ever contract in Korea. Am going to visit a friend in Shanghai for Xmas so will be able to see if that shakes some of the rust off....

Yeah I wanted to take a few geriatric jabs at myself but couldn't be bothered. I do think it's a frame of mind thing. I can still party late no problem and I'm hardly a prude, but the thrill of seeing some crazy stuff happen or meeting some crazily cool dude while hanging out doesn't really have the same appeal to me or my current circle of friends.

That said, if someone said "Let's hit it up!" I'd be game enough, and I'd never criticize someone for hanging out till sunrise at Olde Town. Just don't beat me up while I'm eating brunch the next day lol
