Blimey, how many pints had you had when you wrote this cocker?
Seriously, I honestly feel a re-write woill get you more replies. I got 1/4 of the way through and then couldn't read any more.
If it were clearer though, you'd likely get more response.
No offense. |

Haha. Sorry bit stressed out writing it.
I'll start again and simplify.
I booked my flights on an (stupid) assumption. It has backfired because my school is making me take my vactaion earlier than my flights. I cant get the flights changed either. I now have to take my vacation a week earlier and return 8 days earlier because we have classes earlier than I presumed
Its going to cost me a lot of money if I don't go aswell as not seeing my family for another year. I have informed my school that I already purchases my ticket (my own fault of course). So after lenghty dialog with ct and dmoe pleading to let me take 6 days unpaid leave (even though I could be within my vaction time), they are not budging.
The interesting thing is I am leaving transferring to another school on Feb 25th, not mine or the schools choice: 2nets cut to 1 net). My trip consist of multiple flights, so changing the dates on all will be next to impossible and crazy expesive I think.
So, what would happen if I instead of returning to school as they have outlined, I come back on the date previously planned (missing 6 days work) with a doctors note from Ireland (pretty sure my doc will sort me out)? I've used 3/11 sick days this year. I know they would be pissed but would i be fired or manage to flee to my next school 2 weeks? I will have already signed next years contract by then (I think)
I know it was my own stupidity that got me in this mess, but its done now so time to be pragmatic. What your opinion? |

That week is graduation - generally the kids come to schol but there are no lessons as such, more fun activities!
I'm sorry about your situation - If I was you I wouldn't call in sick whilst in Ireland, but thats just my advise!
BE honnest with your school - in MY experience I think I could have just about swindled this one, to get the time off - but it's a big push - graduation is vvv important in Korean - even though you prob wont have to do anything!
You ricks causing bad blood if you call in sick - and this will follow you to your new school! |

Yeah I figured that after some deep thought, so Ive bit the bullet and coughed up the money for a new return ticket and a week less at home. I am well and truly sickened about it as I was a long way from flush before this cock up, but you live and learn I suppose.
Im finding it very difficult to be civil or nice to my ct today though, she wouldn't let issue go to the p or vp because she thinks it makes her look bad (don't ask me how), instead brought the dmoe into which kinda officially closed the possiblity of the p using his discretion. |

I guess because the P might have said to her, 'why didn't you let them know about grad' -
It's a shame that lot's of co-teachers don't think in advance about things like this...
I just (ask for/steal) a copy of the yearly planner now! |

Jump your coteacher. She has no control over you. Go to head teacher then vp then p. Say it is your grandfathers birthday like 75 or something. Your coteacher just doesn't want to teach that time. You are leaving so what do you care what she thinks. Many Co Teachers are just plan lazy and don't want to do much to help you. Skip her and then tell VP and P that you tried to ask her for help and she wouldn't. Make her look bad she is costing you alot of money. |
