Bucheon's tap water has always been
less than enjoyable. And I never even put it in my mouth except for
brushing my teeth. But over the last month the water tastes like it comes
from a garden hose thats been left under a deck for the last 6 months.

Also what happened to all the massage parlors. There used to be a million of them. Just curious.

I live in Gunpo and my water also has the garden hose thing going on. Prior to this, I generally drank the tap water, but I've started buying bottled water. Even then, the water actually smells like dirt. The smell isn't unpleasant so much as it is unsettling, as it gives me the feeling that I'm washing my clothes (and myself) in a murky pond.

There was a warning on the news recently about the quality of the tap water maybe being bad for awhile in parts of Seoul and Gyeonggi.......sorry don't know any more than that.

This kind of thing is why I forked out for a heavy-duty, triple-filtration water cooler. The water in Korea can't be trusted since all the animal culls recently. Millions of dead farm animals are rotting in hastily scooped out holes in the ground. Leeching into the water system is inevitable. Especially after it rains.

I'd like to think of the water as having character, eamo.

I've got a water testing kit if anyone wants to buy it?

This exact one: Not opened

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Watersafe-WS-425B-Drinking-watertest-kit/dp/B00005AUHX/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1323153565&sr=8-3

I bought it earler this year from the UK for an experiment I was going to do with some children, but never got round to it......

I read that some areas of Korea had blood in the tap water, due to the burried cattle and pigs' remains entering the water table.

Disgusting.
