My flatmate and I are wondering what are the best ways to winter proof our drafty windows.
What has everyone else done in the past?
Thanks |

The supermarkets sell the 3M or Scotch brand of clear plastic sheeting which comes with double-sided tape to stick it around the window frame. |

Those adhesive draught strips work wonders. 5,000 won should help seal the leaks on all the doors and windows in your place. We put bubble wrap over the outside windows (on the inside) also. Really helps keep the heat in.

Can buy it in most stationary stores for around 1,000 won for 3 or 4 meters. |

Yeah, that 3M stuff works well. I used it on some of my older places. Nowadays, I live in a newer building and don't need it. (Have double windows and proper insulation.) Anyways, stock up on that stuff if you have thin drafty windows. It should help well. |

I live in an absolute pit with actual holes in the windows. Last year I didn't cover them (god knows why) and the gas bill was insane. This year I put the plastic over them. It doesn't work the way it should because all the windows have wires and crap coming out of them and the tape doesn't stick to the walls so I used packing tape to make it stay. It makes a huge huge difference. I can go for days without turning the heat on. |

Ive searched all over gmarket for the 3m insulator kit. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Has anyone ordered this online? Thanks! |

Just bought one at the Cheonggye-chon E-mart, near Dongmyo station yesterday. It's immediately inside of one of the corner entrances next to the cash registers inside of the store. Can't remember which floor, but I think it's the one with the underwear. Look inside to the left of where the employee bows and greets you. |
