Has anyone gone recently to get a wii modded at Yongsan? Im talking about getting the hard drive with the games loaded. Can they load recent and good games? I have had friends get this done in the past and many of the games just sucked. Anything I should look out for: ie not being able to use disks after the mod? What price should I be paying for this?

thanks

I bought a modded Wii a while back and figured out how to change the games off myself.

Look for something called WBFS Manager. A lot of sites have "scrubbed" ISOs to download, so I had to use Wii Backup Manager to convert them back into 4+ gig ISOs.

That said, I got mine over a year ago now, and the only game I haven't been able to play on it was Wii Sports Resort for some reason.

My coworker just bought a Wii and had it softmodded. She also bought the hard drive chock-full of games.

Most of the games they put on are rubbish though but there are a few gems on the Wii.

With the most recent Cios' on your Wii, you can play all of the new games. Depends on which genre you like. Some of my favourites:

2d/3d Platformers:
*Mario Galaxy 1+2
*Donkey Kong Country Returns
*Kirby Epic Yarn (Return to Dreamland just came out but I barely played it.)
Rayman Origins (Haven't played much of this but fun none the less.)
*New Super Mario Bros.
Sonic

Fighters:
*Smash Bros. Brawl
*Tatsunoko vs Capcom

On-Rail Shooters:
House of the Dead
Sin and Punishment: Star Successor

Shooters:
Goldeneye
Modern Warfare 2+3

RPGs:
****Xenoblade Chronicles
Rune Factory: Frontier
Rune Factory: Harvest Moon
Super Paper Mario
Animal Crossing
Pikmin
*Little King's Story

Sports: (graphics aren't as good as XBOX360 or PS3 but still fun to play)
*MarioKart
All Maddens
All FIFAs and ProEvos
NBAJam
****WiiSports/Wii Sports Resort
**WiiFit
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics (Beijing, Vancouver, and London)
Mario (Baseball, Football, Tennis)

Party Games:
*Mario Party
*Monopoly Collection
*Family Feud
*Price is Right
***Trivial Pursuit
**Wheel of Fortune
*Jeopardy
Pac-man Party

*These are for games I really enjoyed. I know I forgot some but that should keep you busy for awhile.

Boffo97: For Wii Sports, you need to watch the MotionPlus video first. Go into your loaders settings and change the .dol to alt.dol and start the game. You will watch a video about MotionPlus. When it is finished, restart your Wii and change the .dol back to normal. Start the game and it should work now. If not alt.dol it might be player.dol

Wow, switching it to player.dol did quite the trick. Never would have guessed that in a million years.

Of course, now I have to buy a Wii MotionPlus or two... Smile

Thank you kindly though.
