I tentatively side with the Asian girl, not knowing the full story or scenes prior to the video. I do think however that she was over dramatic and only brought more attention to herself but can understand that she was highly stressed with exams looming and that the smug students videotaping were the straw that broke the camel's back. She had the right to approach them considering the venue - a university library.
The arrogant, snide students behind the camera are the epitome of entitled, judgmental kids whose actions belie their advancing age into adulthood and see life as one procession of scenes to manipulate, judge and comment upon from the sidelines whilst watching along. Younger people have always been inclined to be arrogant and self-absorbed but I do believe it's more endemic these days - and I guess growing up in a society where they have hovered upon by parents, fed a steady diet of reality TV and discussion boards, and provided little criticism for fear of damaging their self-esteem this is the result. |

We only get part of the crazy--before the camera started rolling, she started yelling at people for "breathing too loudly.". I would be the first one to bait this girl after seeing her weird indignant stomping and general making a fool of herself.
Interesting will be to see how people who condemn "See the rocks" comment on this. My guess is that Asians side with crazy chick, as the youTube comments section reveal. |

...Huh. madoka, this is the second post you posted where the news/event/whatever is from where I live, and I happened to come across it... I graduated from CSUN.
In the time I spent there though, I don't remember any issues with disruption in the library, other than people who would answer their cell phones in the building. The place is also open 24 hours during finals week (and the week before, if I remember correctly), so if one needed to, you wouldn't have to leave the building at all, save for getting food.
The library is also gigantic, so if the Asian woman felt the disruptive students were "breathing too loud", there would have been plenty of places to move herself to where it'd be a lot quieter.. |

She seems really stressed, if you want quiet in the library go book a quiet study room. Oh and she also sounds like she needs to get laid. |

UHHH it's finals week.
Good luck booking a private study room.
Also, the whole point of going to the library is that it's quiet. The reason why people go there.... ironically not so much for the books. |

Man, YouTube comments are just sad these days...Every video seems to degenerate into a cyber-race riot. |

The film recorders are the reason why I wish some people could be banned from libraries- give 1 strike then you are OUT. |

Libraries are supposed to be a sanctuary where students can study or take a nap between classes. They should be quiet.
That being said, if I'd had a cold, however, and was reprimanded for breathing heavily, I'd have told her--in a soft voice--to shove it. |

University isn't university anymore, it's an extension of high school away from home. |
