I've got a few more years abroad (not all in Korea hopefully) but I think I have enough spare time to trying to get started on my grad school work.

First, no I'm not looking for anything offered by those for-profit online schools like Phoenix or AIU or Kaplan or whatever new one on the block is. If you went to one of those schools, I'm sorry, you got robbed.

I'm looking for traditional universities with online MAs. For example, my home state school, The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) has a few online MAs, but subject matter is limited. I'm looking for something in Finance, or Int'l Relations, or perhaps management but not an MBA. Maybe Economics too. I'm actually quite flexible as to what it is I get my MA in, as is the case, sometimes just having an MA matters more than what it's in. Except for MBAs, no one takes non-Ivy MBAs seriously anymore Wink

Anyone done any research on this? Help a brother out.

I'm currently doing a online MA in International Relations with the University of Leicester in the UK. I had a look around, but there wasn't very many real schools offering on-line MA in this tho.
Also have a look at the Frei University. I think they do a online MA , but you have to go to Germany twice in the duration of the course. My budget said no to this, but you may other financial options available to you. Good luck!

My friend is doing an MA from Cal State U. Says it's pretty good. Price is reasonable.

Liverpool also do some business-related MAs, though they gave me sticker shock when I looked into them.

I'm applying to UCONN's online Masters of Accounting program. It requires that you go to Storrs, Ct. for their first class (May 21-24) and then all else is online. Total tuition is about 20K USD.

You can take it in any time configuration that suits you, but they offer it as a 3 classes summer, 3 fall and 3 spring option. This "full time status" allows you to defer your existing student loans and then study for the CPA as well.

The app. is due 3/15 and applicants need to have completed (or started) by then:

Financial Acctg.
Managerial Acctg.
Intermediate Acctg. I and II
Advanced Accounting
Cost Accounting
Auditing
US Tax Accounting

I'm short a few of those pre-reqs so I'm taking them through UC Berkeley Extension (mostly online start anytime classes)

I'm pulling this all off while at an ESL job here KSA

Hey! I just found out about University of Leicester and their online courses a few weeks ago. I was wondering what you think of it so far? Like you said, it is pretty hard to find an online MA in IR so I am just curious how the application process was, funding (depending on if you are paying out of pocket for it or not), etc. Feel free to pm me if you don't want to make the info public.
