I have taught in China for the last 3 years but now am considering going to Korea. I am tired of the bad weather and pollution in China. Can anyone recommend a reliable recruiter and a nice area with less pollution and people? I am more interested in a smaller town. I am just starting my search so any information would be appreciated. |

Use any and all recruiters; they are only as good as the job they offer you. |

I recommend a town named Paju right on the DMZ. Clean fresh air and not that far from Ilsan which has all the modern conveniences and a good foreigner community.
As for recruiters, try "teachers for South Korea" |

I don't agree with "using all recruiters". Your inbox will be flooded with lousy jobs that you don't want. You mention that you want a public school in Seoul, and you'll get twenty offers for hogwans in Cholla province. Finding a good recruiter is important. I'm changing jobs so I'd be interested also in knowing which one is currently considered the best. But in my experience applying to them all just opens up a lot of dead end roads and increases your sense of frustration. |
