I KNOW this question does not belong here, but perhaps some one knows this answer. I can not post on the international forum.
I am l looing to work for 6 months in China. I looked on every site about the visa. I could not find one where a criminal check is required. I wrote to a job, and they asked me if I had my criminal check. I did request one on November 11th, but obviously did not get it back yet.
I did not expect the check back this early.
Thank you all in advance

all china working visas are one year and you cant say you just want to work 6 months.

I have never done a criminal background check for my China working visas.

I'm not sure if they need the FBI check. Why don't you start a membership on the international forums? Send your request to Dave. Smile

They're separate accounts. But you can use the same username and password.

I worked in China for 6 months on an F - Business Visa that I basically just bought in Hong Kong. I did not need to have a job to get it. I just worked freelance. I think it's a bit dodgy but definitely not uncommon and I never had a problem, as I was an "English language consultant" or something along those lines. This was in Shanghai.

I actually got a job while in another place, flew to HK to get the F visa, and then to Shanghai to start the job. It was a lot easier than all the paperwork involved for a Z visa (the normal 1-year teaching visa) and I could work wherever I pleased.
