And you realise the article you posted points out that they just made a law against excessively loud commercials? Yes, other countries have loud commercials, and it's quite annoying. I don't like it in Canada, and wish they would pass a law similar to the US one. Here, I find the commercials ever louder than Canada, but that could be because the ones here rely on high pitched voices and cute crap, so they seem louder.

I know that the article was about the new law banning it. The reason I chose that article was that there would not be a need for a law if Loud Commercials was only a Korean cultural thing based on loud Shoe Salesman, that Floaty assumes to be the case.

I never once said it was soley a Korean thing. Myth, keep your charge in line please. Laughing

I said the reason KOREANS do it is due to the mentailty that clapping and making loud noises will attract customers.

Why Canadians do it? No idea, never been there.

I never once made it a comparison issue.

That is the sole reserve of posters with a certain other agenda.

No, let me correct you once again.

Koreans don't do it because of their loud mentality. They do it because it is a common technique in television Advertising. That is why loud commercials are the norm, regardless of nationality.
