| I don't have any British friends here. They are all Canadian and American, which is is good. I'd rather hang out with these guys then some middle class twerp from Surrey. |

i have worked in both Japan and Korea and can say without a doubt that there are WAY more Brits in Japan than there are in Korea, in fact all my western friends in Japan were British and that makes me sad in some ways that I didnt meet anyone from a different background (besides the Japanese of course)
In Korea, my friends are overwhelmingly Canadian and Korean - in fact I have only one British person I speak to regularly and we are both enjoying having a bit of a mix up! However and this PURELY MY OPINION i do feel it more difficult to relate to the Americans I know (one person excepted ), i find their outlook on life TOO different from mine to become really close. Just my feeling. In some ways I feel they are more foreign to me than the Koreans.
Make it clear though I am NOT hating on anyone - just who I have found it easiest to get along with. |

I don't know that the UK had changed its name to Surrey. |

Sorry, was in a shitty mood so wrote it without thinking. I referred to Surrey in a metaphorical sense to represent the snobby, pseudo intellectual, up themself, type of Brits that I can't stand. In my experience, a lot of them come with the Home Counties accent. |

Except most people from Britain don't live in the home counties. There are people from certain places that I have found to be rather annoying, I won't mention the country but instead say something more positive. The vast majority of Canadians I have meet have been really nice. One was bitchy but that's probably because she was 25 and already rather grey. Apart from her I highly approve of the Canadians. |
