For me, it is PRagic. Everything he writes is gold. (...from the best of my remembrance...@.@) Sadly, some of the best posters on here are also the ones who post the least. If you are reading this Pragic, might I humbly request that you post some more stuff. I've learned a lot from your contributions to this forum.

Hakwon jobs are only, and I repeat ONLY, a way to get into the country and settled. The pay is not good, the hours are long, and they will try to take advantage of you any number of ways throughout the term of your contract.

The lesson? If you want to work long-term in ESL, whether in Korea or elsewhere, invest in yourself. You need to get your MA, your CELTA, your DELTA, and whatever else makes you more competitive for real jobs. You need to build a salary history at organizations with names that don't make everyone chuckle. In short, you need to start angling for university positions or, if you're more inclinded toward the secondary education market, foreign schools. Period. Everything else is a waste of your time over the long term.

ttompatz is a legend. He helps out all the time, even though some questions have already been asked multiple times over the years. Where would this forum be without his general knowledge!?! It should be Ttompatz's ESL Cafe ;p lol

Yeah, same here. There have been a few over the years, to be sure, but for whatever reason, I'm curious as to whom litebear is referring.

My nomination is for the guy who constantly posts about the rights of pedophiles and how love with a minor is fine so long as its consensual.

Pretty sure he's had a few screen names on here.

But heck, there could be another. Smile

The Kapitan (Captain "Soon-going-to-be-a-Socialist-Korean" Corea). He is my hero to inspire me to become more active in the South Korean left-wing scene. Very Happy Even though he posted a couple of very nasty words via PM, I love how he inspired me to become a better person by preaching left-wing ideas to other people.

I <3 the Kapitan with all my heart!!!!!!! Very Happy

Litebear is talking about Grotto, from perhaps 4 or more years ago, I believe.
