It's a puzzle game.
It can be played with no great investment of time.
It's cute.
My question is why is this so incomprehensible? |

The Angry Birds characters are cute, and cute sells in Korea.
I'm morally opposed to the game, however, because of its blatant endorsement of suicide attacks. Probably funded by al-Qaeda. |
Probably the best post of the year. Concise, makes your point, and ends with humor. |

I am opposed to it because of the violence shown toward pigs! Also it portrays pigs as lazy criminals who lay around in their houses just waiting to steal more birds eggs. This is racist and probably sexist, ageist and lookist.
My wife has an angry bird pillow she uses in her chair for back support. I think it is cute!! |

Yeah, it takes puzzle / basic strategy games and gives it a platform-esque spin.
That said, people who obsess about it are gaylords. I played it once and thought 'this takes no skill and is stupid.' Sorry steel, but I'm cantankerous and will defend my right to be with my pearl handled Colt Peacemaker if need be. |

Reminds me of one part of the book "(Blank) My Dad Says"
"My flight lands at nine-thirty on Sunday...You want to watch what? What the ---- is Mad Men? I'm a mad man if you don't pick me up."
Pretty much had this exact same convo with a friend who was late for our Screen Golf tee time because he was playing Angry Birds.
"What? What the...are Angry Birds? I'm angry and I'm flipping you the bird on my phone right now."
Told that to my English buddy and he thought the guy was being chased by a bunch of women he'd met at the bar. |
