Hey, what's the best way to get to the airport in Busan: regular train, KTX, bus or taxi. I'll be getting there from Ulsan. Thanks for your time! |

Last time I went there was a bus that takes you right from the Taehwa rotary stop (under the bridge). It'll take you right to the terminal. I can't recall the price.
I think there's also a bus that goes from the bus terminal next to Lotte Department Store but I forget.
Definitely not KTX; the KTX station is Ulsan is way out in the middle of nowhere. |

The Busan-Gimhae LRT takes you there now if that's convenient. |

Assuming you take the coach bus here's a little tip.
There is a good chance that all the passengers on the bus will be going past the international airport to the domestic one.
The driver doesn't routinely stop at the international, so you need intimate to him. It is not easily apparent that you are going past so ask a K passenger to be of assistance.
Else you could end up doubling back in a taxi. |

Definitely airport bus.
There are two stops you can catch the bus:
1. Taehwa Rotary - public parking lot on the southern embankment below Taehwa Bridge.
2. Shinbok Rotary - the bus stop immediately before the entrance ramp onto the highway overpass.
Technically, there are two other temporary stops near West Ulsan Tollgate and Tongdosa, but those are tricky to get to, therefore to be disregarded.
Buses will depart Ulsan at:
5:20, 5:40 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:40, 12:20, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30,15:00, 15:30, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00,18:30, 19:00 respectively. (effective December 23, 2011; copied from Gimhae Airport website)
7900 Won single, 70 minutes. |

Taxi. Its not that expensive, gets you there faster than the bus and it far more convenient in my opinion.
The shuttle bus can be an option of course and people have provided you with good info in that regard. |

Thanks everyone, that's great. Another question: I will be going on holidays during Lunar New Year so is there any way to book the tickets in advance or do I just turn up on the day and hope for the best? |

Do not turn up the day of and hope for the best.
Have you ever been here on a Chuseok or Seollal before? Everyone travels for these holidays, and it'll be hard enough getting tickets at even this short notice.
Unless things are different down there, for instance if you're coming up to Seoul while millions of Koreans are headed the opposite direction. |

This Airport Limo Bus is not covered under the intercity express bus booking network (as opposed to Daegu -- Gimhae Airport buses, for example) hence there is no booking system in place. |

I've never gone to the international terminal by bus, but I can imagine the above to be a good point to bear in mind. Most traffic from PUS is indeed domestic.
However, if anyone did miss the international terminal stop and ended up at the domestic, before forking out for a taxi, bear in mind that it's barely 300-400 metres to WALK back to the International terminal building! It's a one way road however, so a taxi will have to go several times that distance.
Maybe the best idea might to just tell the bus driver yourself when you get on "국제선" kuk-je seon (International). |
