It seems most every time we go to costco more and more of our favourite products are gone and replaced by kirkland crap.
Is it that way at every branch or just yangjae? |

What has been "replaced"? Kirkland has been in Costcos worldwide since before any stores opened in Korea. |

Kirkland is a suburb of Seattle, and is Costco's home base. Like the other posters said, it's their generic name. Try the Kirkland Red Vines if you can find them - so much better than Twizzlers! |

sojusucks, I've missed your food posts. Speaking of food, the Lotte Hotel Christmas buffet was out of sight. Except for the French restaurant at Lotte, it was the best food I've ever had in Korea. |

Im happy that they replaced Bounce drier sheets with the Kirkland brand. About half the price for essentially the same thing. |

I'm shocked that anybody doesn't like Kirkland brand. Costco doesn't actually make the stuff. They buy it from other companies and basically put the Kirkland logo on it. For instance, the 6-pack of undershirts are actually Hanes, I think. They also sell a 24-pack with four different kinds of beer in it, and those are obviously made by some brewery. The Kirkland brand products are usually really high quality products at low prices. I only buy Kirkland brand contact lens solution, because you can get 3 16 ounce containers for about $7.50. |

Kirkland Bacon pwns the overpriced, sad excuse for bacon I've seen at Emart every day of the week and twice on Sundays. I only buy bacon at Costco and freeze. |

Yeah. I find the Kirkland brand stuff to be superior to any Korean brand western-style product......which isn't hard I suppose..... |

Yes, the Kirkland products are made by the same guys who produce top brand name products. In Korea, they'll actually list the names of the manufacturers on the labels (in Korean, of course). For example, the Kirkland Omega-3 gelcaps are made by Weider. |

Not sure about other locations, but the "kirkland" beef patties, though inferior to ones I make, got replaced by some Korean brand and are now thoroughly awful, so we stopped getting them, but the meats at Costco have always been top-shelf, especially the beef cuts. The ribeye is better than anything you'll buy at a "family" restaurant. |
